[As we discussed], yes Lörennia remembers these events fairly well.  Also, additional research reveals that all that time in Lómë probably constituted hours to days out here, which comes as a huge relief.  That relief is obvious to Thos when she tells him (he deserves to know too).

Well, only Samarach and Zakhara regularly trade with Nimbral too, which is why I was hoping Phineas' connections might find someone willing to risk the journey.  Helping return a wayward daughter of Nimbral for a visit should be enough to get them to port, though obviously I can't guarantee anything (hence the risk).  At that point, it's up to the captain to try and leverage that visit into a regular route, if he so desires.  [Let me know if there are any rolls you'd like me to make.]

Failing that, Thindol is actually the closest port to Samarach, aside from Samarach itself, so that would probably be the ideal secondary destination assuming no one is trading with them either.

In the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, there are two excellent maps here.
One for trade routes on page 88-89 (linked above) and one for political boundaries on page 100-101.

On this day, Lantan is receiving two ships from Thindol, and sending two ships to Calimshan.
Note that going to Maztica and Zakhara is generally prohibited without very strong connections, which Phineas may have if he wants to try to push them.

Edit: Found a couple.  Some light research would turn up the Time of Troubles (14 years ago) and the discovery of Maztica (11 years ago).  A slave in Calimshan would have heard of both of these, easily.  Was she already aware of them?

You easily determine that the events were indeed 14 and 11 years ago, respectively.

    Othello was the only child born into an upper middle class family, his father owned and ran a very successful lumbering company and his mother was a professional cook and ran one of the local eateries. He had always been an adventurous child, he and his best friends, the Bayard twins, Rue and Kim went everywhere within the confines of the shire property (which was quite large). They were constantly in trouble(?) but they never stayed that way. The trio always had a way out. Rue became the Shire's best hunter and leatherworker, opened a leather shop and smokehouse/butcher shop; Kim followed the mystical path, joined a mage tower that was nearby the Shire, she became a wizard/sorceror, returned to the Shire and helped build a school of magic; Othello became the Shire's priest and defender, built a temple, trained other priests/ess and then began to roam the world in search of those who needed assistance.

OK, here we go  ... 

I'm need to build a workshop at drydock to build my sloop.

I'm debating on the ship having 10 guns per side, but the state of gunpowder makes it extremely hazardous and I am not willing to blow myself up. I will get the cannons because they can be very well built but I need to work on a better gunpowder formula  ...  a separate alchemy area  ...  hmmmmm  ...   ;)

I need to hire a crew, bosun and captain and make sure that they are all willing and able; need to ask the rest of my companions who wants to go adventuring

I really need to get a sloop. It's a good sized ship; it can defend itself, most of them have 5-10 guns per side; good cargo space and sleeping space for the crew (20 minimum). Maybe I can talk some of my companions into joining me on the seas, it'd be a good break after the desert.

I want to see what I can of this world and maybe figure a way to travel the multiversal planes and maybe get back to my home (if it still exists).

In the meantime; travel, explore, map and record as much as possible. I need to collect as much information as I can, learn as much as possible about this world. It is new and interesting.

I do indeed want to build a bigger boat, Gamemaster, sloop-sized if possible  ...  I do have the stats for a sloop from a naval board game that does fit D&D  ...  :)

I do want to do some traveling  ...
