Jester? Tethyr? Okay I'm clearly not who she thought I was. But was there anyone else in that room? Another kobold at that? Did they leave prematurely? Where's the girl from earlier? Ropes out there? They mean acrobatics?... I could pull it off.
"Right, right, the girl first yes? Jester's tales are not always more interesting before their career, than during it I'm afraid. I hail from a valley, between mountains I do know know what humans call, apologies. Anyway, I had just set out to hunt, and met a human man in the open, who had apparently never seen any of my kind before- most of us stick to our mines after all. He offered me a roll in his -circus was it?-, thinking how interesting I might be to others who have never seen my kind, and educated me. Eventually, I had funded his fortune with my performance and once he was content, he settled down, leaving me to make use of my skills elsewhere."
During the tale, Ghar does eat a few slices of bacon and happily downs some eggs, but kindly explains dairy is not on a reptilians diet. How much does this cost though? did someone else cover it? Then he recalls "Everyone will know!"- did they not have the real jester in the first place? Even so Ghar is not their replacement- though he could be, for a time.

The woman who gave you the clothing growls without opening her mouth, "Don't talk so much, just be funny!"

"Make us laugh!" a woman says.
"Tell a joke!" shouts a man from near the bar.
What do you do?

In his mind, Ghar scowls at his "employer," but cant keep the crowd waiting- or guessing.
"Then let us begin-" Ghar looks around for a higher spot to stand and speak to the room. Now in a playful haughty voice, "Do you lot know of the hill giants to the north and east?"
In a short pause to test the crowds reaction, Ghar assesses the crowd- male to female ratio, how many drunks there are, and how many empty mugs might be around them.

GameMaster

"Giants!" exlaims a young girl, who presses close again the chest of the big man whose lap she's sitting on.  He squeezes her tightly, and you're not certain but you think you saw her-- third hand???-- slip down to the coinpurse tied to his belt.

Perhaps because of the early hour there are still more women than men in the room, but there's not a man who is alone, save one sitting quietly with his back against a wall in a dark corner.  All others have the attention of lovely young women-- or, perhaps it's better to say that the young women have the attention of the men?

Empty mugs of ale are not littering the entire place yet, but they are on almost every table as the barmaid swoops in to carry back 6 or 8 at a time...
What do you do?

"Giants indeed!" (With a quick glance around the room for the tallest man visible, then for one with the worst toothless grin) "I've once had the displeasure of making acquaintance with one! They eat cows whole, favoring the eyes and brains. They thinks it make u smartness." Giving another pause and grin. "Foul, ghastly apes, the lot of em." Then quickly remarks "Oh nothing personal though- no offense intended." gesturing to the man by the "3-handed" woman.

GameMaster

It takes a long moment, but the room bursts into laughter.  Unsure at first of whether they're laughing at him or with him, the big man at first stares angrily at you, but the woman lightening his coinpurse whispers into his ear-- an explanation, likely-- and the beams with pride.

The room is smiles and drinking and dancing, and they begin making jokes among themselves again, finally allowing you to escape the attention of most of the room.
What do you do?

Ghar looks to his "employer" for if he should continue the comedian act or take the chance to clear the issue.
Ghar had hoped to put eyes on the 3 handed woman and the man without being directly involved... but so what? He tried at least.

GameMaster

The lady who dragged you into this isn't looking at you anymore, she's smoothly going around the room and talking to the patrons of the establishment-- mostly to the men, asking them questions and listening.  To the women, who most all seem to be quite a bit more sober, she seems to just give quick instructions and then moves on.

After a few friendly words here and there, you're left alone to enjoy your breakfast if you so choose...
Otherwise, you might be able to walk right out the door without anyone noticing.
What do you do?

Ghar heads back to his own room, but quickly stops by the "real" jesters room and ditches the colorful clothing.

GameMaster

When you get to your room, you find the door is locked form the inside.
What do you do?

Ghar will first try to sense if Ash is still in the room. Then he casts grease on the floor in the immediate area by his rooms door.

Ash is definitely afraid and hiding in a dark place.

Calling upon his innate connection to magic, with a few words and precise movements of his hands and arms, Ghar casts Grease on the floor in front of the room, which is thankfully at the end of the hallway so no other rooms will be affected by it.

[As a 3rd Level caster, your Grease will last about 18 seconds unless you Dismiss it before then]

After his soft chanting, something seems to touch the door from the inside of your room, but it does not open.
What do you do?

Ghar quickly checks if there is any metal on the door. The handle, ornaments, or any bands to hold it together. If there is any, he quickly reaches for it, charging it with an electric jolt.

GameMaster

Ghar narrows his eyes and extends a clawed finger toward the brass doorknob as he mutters a sharp, crackling incantation. In an instant, luminous sparks dance along his outstretched arm, weaving together into a twisting filament of sizzling energy.

With a sudden flick of his wrist, the shimmering strand lashes forward, writhing like an electric serpent through the air. The hallway momentarily pulses with bluish-white brilliance as the bolt hits the heavy iron doorhandle. A loud snap echoes as tiny arcs of electricity ripple outward, momentarily illuminating the grains in the wood around the door... thankfully, it does not reach the grease and start a fire.

On the other side of the door, Ghar hears a yelp and a heavy thump as someone falls bacl in surprise after the electricity races through the doorhandle. Thin wisps of smoke curl upward from the scorched metal, leaving behind a faint scent of ozone in the warm inn air.

"Oi, what's goin' on up there!" comes the angry bellow from a man downstairs.
What do you do?

Ghar bluffs in a lighthearted tone, "Some idiot closed the door on their fingers!" Then walks a rooms or two down, audibly, but hopefully not suspiciously, and watches the door.
